Mokha Java is said to be the world’s oldest blend, combining the pungent, wild coffees of Yemen and the heavy bodied and smooth coffees of the island of Java. With our version we stay true to the regional character, but shake things up a bit by combining a big bodied Pacific Island coffee with a high quality washed Ethiopia–roasted fairly dark–for pungency. We then add fruit and zip by including two other medium and light roasted natural and washed Ethiopias. Two origins, four different coffees, three different roast levels.
