This natural process coffee comes from the Bombe village of the Bensa district of Sidama in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR).
We are always on the lookout for natural coffees that are fruity but clean, with flavors that are not simpy the heavy-handed by-products of fermentation, but somehow exemplify the inherent qualities of the green coffee itself. This natural fits the bill. It’s a good one, and a rather unique coffee, in that the flavor profile revolves around clean, dark purple fruit, like plum and blackberry, while also showing a lot of bright (but not harsh) citric acidity, akin to meyer lemon. The result is a dark fruit-driven natural with a sweet, heavy body that is also refreshing and clean. It’s a pretty awesome combination.
