This is a decaffeinated blend of beans from the Americas, East Africa and Sumatra. Decaf is usually “where green beans go to die,” as one importer told me a few years ago, but we try hard to source decafs that are made with new-crop green coffees that are fresh and tasty before the caffeine is removed (and so fresh and tasty after, too). All of the decafs we roast are decaffeinated with water, instead of more commonly utilized methyl chloride bath.
